Where is Belfast ?Where is Belfast exactly?
A question many of my friends and relatives from othe parts of the world ask. Firstly there is more than one Belfast, there is at least three (that I know of ) Belfast in Northern Ireland, Belfast in Maine USA and Belfast in South Africa (actually there maybe "two Belfasts" in South Africa!) The Belfast I write about on this site is located on Ireland's North eastern coast at 54°35′49″N 05°55′45″W. See the map below
Handy Tip: use the + and - sign to zoom out so that you can see the location of Belfast within Ireland, and within the UK, Europe and the world. Don't forget to use the satellite option for beautiful aerial views of the countryside.( notice lots of green Irish fields surounding the city, I wonder can I plant chillis there?)
