Paul Potts was the first winner of the “Britain’s Got Talent” TV show in 2007.
He sang one of my favourite opera songs Nessun Dorma from Pucini’s Turandot.
In his earlier years he had sang as a choir boy and later in various amateur operatic productions.
Since winning the British TV competition in 2007, he has been able to leave his former occupation as a mobile phone shop manager and realise his dream of becoming a professional opera singer.
His success in the TV competition has led to his appearence on stages worldwide(including Belfast) and made him very wealthy.
All I can say is well done Paul and thanks for all the great songs.
Hopefully he will make an appearence in Belfast again soon.
