First established in the year 2001, the Island Arts centre in Lisburn has deversedly earned an excellent status as one of Ireland’s major art venues.





The Island centre presents a wonderful diversity of arts and entertainments all year round and is Lisburn City Council’s visually amazing arts base for Lisburn’s creative scene. The Island has established itself as a superb centre for a long range of cultural and commercial shows. With an award winning status for innovation and style, the Island Arts centre has great surroundings helped by superb professional technical support and fantastic hospitality service.
Bursting at the seams with Creativity the Lisburn Island Arts centre runs all year round providing a first class programme of diverse classes and workshops including visual and verbal arts, community arts, performing arts and a full education programme that eagers people of all abilities and ages to explore and preserves their art heritage.
In addition to music, theatre and dance shows the arts centre also runs classes for both young and old in a wide range of subjects such as Salsa dancing and pottery to life drawing and puppet making.
Saturday morning and afternoon classes are popular with school age children and early booking is often required to guarantee a place.
Located within walking and driving distance of Lisburn City Centre and smartly placed beside public and road transports networks, the Island Art centre is easy to get to for people from Lisburn and other places. Belfast the capital city of Northern Ireland is just 10 mins by car from the venue.
