The big fish sculpture is located in Belfast since 1999, at the Donegall Quay.It was commissioned by the laganside corporation to celebrate the regeneration of the river lagan in Belfast.It is postioned at a place were the farset and lagan rivers join (an important location in the
history of Belfast.

Some interesting facts about this sculpture.
It is 10m longThe outer layer is constructed of printed ceramic tiles.These tiles are printed with details of Belfast's history from the 1600s to the present day. The artists' name who created the sculpture was a local man called John Kindness. A time capsule with information about Belfast is placed inside for future generations to discover! It is a popular spot for tourist photographs, so visit it when you come to Belfast so you can say "I was there". It is just a 10 minute stroll from the city centre and close to the
Belfast Odyssey Entertainment Centre
and the lagan weir.
