Previously industrial buildings now became chic designer studios, old houses were sub divided into multiple living spaces and the city once a bit gloomy and industrial started to take on a more cosmopolitan appearence.

For the past 15 years this development has continued unabated, although the recent world economic crisis has some what slowed its speed.Purchase prices have dropped as much as 50% in the last two years.

Well no more gloom there are loads of excellent apartments situated throughout the city either to live or to stay as a tourist in.
